Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and drive measurable results.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for our Insurance Premium Finance division. This executive-level role is responsible for driving operational performance, financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement while leading a high-performing operations team.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with deep Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance expertise, strong financial acumen, and a proven ability to optimize operations, develop talent, and deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and manage all operational functions within the Insurance Premium Finance division to ensure safe, efficient, compliant, and profitable operations.
  • Oversee accounting and operational processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial controls.
  • Monitor daily workflow and production to ensure service levels, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and expense management.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce operating losses, and enhance overall performance.

Financial & Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable banking regulations, insurance regulations, internal policies, and risk management standards.
  • Maintain strong operational controls and ensure adherence to established procedures.
  • Oversee departmental budgets, control expenses, and support the division's profitability goals.
  • Prepare executive management reports highlighting operational performance, productivity metrics, staffing efficiency, and departmental results.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing operations team.
  • Establish departmental and individual performance goals with measurable outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Resolve complex operational issues while providing guidance and support to management and staff.

Strategic Partnership

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key vendors and external business partners.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices affecting the premium finance and banking industries.
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Bank President.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience, including at least 5 years in an operations leadership or management role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance operations, banking regulations, compliance requirements, and operational risk management.
  • Strong accounting and financial management experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading operations teams, improving processes, and driving measurable business results.
  • Experience with business software systems and operational technology platforms.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic priorities with hands‑on operational execution.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and operational support to both internal and external customers.
