The Senior Operations Manager - HPC oversees day-to-day HPC data center operations, ensuring maximum uptime, efficiency, and security, while leading engineers and technicians. With a focus on capacity planning, incident management, and continuous improvement, you will drive policies, budgets, and vendor relationships to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/EE or related field.
• 8+ years managing Tier III+ data centers.
• Strong data center infrastructure knowledge (power, cooling, networking, security).
• Familiar with Uptime Institute Tier classifications, ITIL, ISO 27001.
• Proven leadership and ability to optimize operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong abstract thinking, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across audiences.
• Self-driven with attention to detail and ability to execute with limited direction.
• Ability to operate with uncertainty and limited resources.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of HPC data centers, ensuring uptime, security, and safety standards.
• Manage a team of technicians responsible for infrastructure maintenance, power, cooling, and IT support.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Monitor critical systems, ensuring proactive maintenance and troubleshooting of issues.
• Collaborate with IT, network, and security teams to enhance data center reliability.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, SOC, and other relevant certifications.
• Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and procurement of necessary equipment.
• Prepare and manage operational budgets for the data center.
• Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategy implementation.
• Lead incident management and root cause analysis for service disruptions.

The Senior Operations Manager - HPC is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of high performance computing data centers, ensuring maximum uptime, operational efficiency, and adherence to industry best practices. This role requires deep technical knowledge and leadership skills to manage a team of engineers and technicians while optimizing performance, capacity planning, and security protocols.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
