Post Consumer Brands in Bloomsburg, PA is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead manufacturing across a complex 24/7 union environment. You will drive safety, quality, service, cost, and productivity while shaping the future of our Bloomsburg operation.

You will build capability, mentor supervisors, and partner with plant and corporate leaders to deliver reliable, high-performing results through Lean, TPM, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • At least seven years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading large, multi-shift operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including developing supervisors and building high-performing teams.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving.

Location Description

The Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania facility proudly produces iconic pet food brands like 9Lives®, Gravy Train®, and Kibbles 'n Bits®. This location also features an on-site Distribution Center, ensuring efficient delivery of products to customers.

Bloomsburg is home to Bloomsburg University, a municipal airport, and a landmark Town Park offering acres of recreational activities. The town also hosts one of the largest and longest-running fairs in the country. With so much to do and see, Bloomsburg is a great place to live, work, and play!

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager who is ready to lead people, strengthen performance, and help shape the future of our Bloomsburg manufacturing operation.

About the Role

As Senior Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the Bloomsburg Plant Leadership Team. You will lead manufacturing operations across a complex, multi-shift, 24/7 union environment and help drive results in safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, and employee engagement.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who can balance day-to-day execution with long-term strategy. You will lead through others, build organizational capability, and partner across the plant to create safer, more reliable, and more efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple shifts.
  • Set clear expectations and accountability for safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, and operational performance.
  • Translate production plans and business priorities into effective plant-floor execution.
  • Develop and mentor Operations Supervisors and other operations leaders, strengthening team capability and succession readiness.
  • Build an engaged, inclusive, and accountable culture grounded in safety, teamwork, employee relations, and continuous improvement.
  • Use operational data and performance metrics to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and improve sustainable results.
  • Advance Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance, structured problem-solving, and other continuous-improvement practices.
  • Improve equipment effectiveness, production attainment, labor and material utilization, reliability, and right-first-time quality.
  • Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and other plant leaders.
  • Support capital projects, new-product introductions, and operational-readiness initiatives.
  • Lead organizational change with clear communication, sound judgment, and a focus on helping employees and leaders succeed.
  • Contribute to plant strategy while ensuring the operations organization has the right structure, processes, and capabilities for the future.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least seven years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, multi-shift operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including experience developing supervisors and building high-performing teams.
  • Experience with operational leadership, production optimization, performance management, and process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving.
  • Ability to use operating data and performance measures to guide priorities and decisions.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change and improve organizational performance.
  • Food or consumer packaged goods manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in automated manufacturing and a union environment is preferred.
