Job summary

Post Consumer Brands, a business unit of Post Holdings, Inc., is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations at the Bloomsburg, PA facility. You will drive safety, quality, and performance while coaching a team in a 12-hour night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule and collaborating across shifts.

You will support SQF food safety and quality practices, manage inventories, and implement standard work.

Location Description

The Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania facility proudly produces iconic pet food brands like 9Lives®, Gravy Train®, and Kibbles 'n Bits®. This location also features an on-site Distribution Center, ensuring efficient delivery of products to customers.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations and help a team deliver safe, high-quality food with strong service, efficiency, cost, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). As an Operations Supervisor, you will turn production priorities into clear daily direction, develop employees through hands-on coaching, and create an environment where team members contribute ideas, solve problems, and take ownership of results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop operations employees to meet expectations for personal safety, productivity, quality, food safety, sanitation, environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, and SQF.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate staffing and production activities to meet demand requirements while balancing quality and cost.
• Manage and prioritize finished product, packaging, raw material, and work-in-process inventories to support production needs.
• Set clear expectations, strengthen accountability, and serve as a communication and problem-solving resource for employees.
• Maintain facilities, equipment, and operating systems in safe, sanitary, and functional condition while meeting regulatory requirements.
• Perform safety, GMP, and pre-operational audits, and ensure incidents, deficiencies, and emergencies are handled appropriately.
• Lead continuous improvement across safety, quality, yield, OEE, engagement, and processing and packaging efficiency.
• Implement operating procedures and recommend equipment improvements that support reliable performance.
• Support product, process, and material changes and help build systematic training and development plans for team members.
• Promote effective shift-to-shift communication and, where applicable, support practices consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

Location & Travel Requirements

• Work on-site in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
• Work a 12-hour night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule, including every other weekend.
• Be mobile and able to take on broader assignments at other Post Consumer Brands locations for additional development opportunities.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, management, science, or a related field preferred

Required Qualifications

• Availability to work the stated 12-hour night schedule, including every other weekend.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
• Ability to take on broader assignments at other Post Consumer Brands locations.
• At least three years of combined related experience, preferably in food processing or packaging.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Union environment
• Previous supervisory experience.
