Job summary

Essen Health Care is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Operations for Specialty to oversee multi-site operations, partner with physicians and staff, and implement best practice standards to support Essen Health Care initiatives.

The AVP will lead operational leadership, strategic planning, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance while focusing on patient experience and high-quality care across specialty services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, including leadership roles.
• Strong leadership abilities to guide a multi-disciplinary team and foster excellence.
• Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and cost-control measures in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in specialty healthcare.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with staff, leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities to analyze complex operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations for specialty healthcare services, ensuring efficiency and high-quality patient care.
• Optimize workflow processes, resource allocation, and staffing for specialty care units.
• Oversee budgets, financial performance, and resource management to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising care quality.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and related standards across operations.
• Manage a team of healthcare managers, supervisors, and staff, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and patient safety.
• Oversee technology integration (EHR, telemedicine, diagnostic tools) to support operations.
• Foster collaboration with physicians and specialists to coordinate care across locations.
