KBR, Inc. in Colorado Springs is seeking a Senior Operations Integration & TACSRT Support Lead to drive the AFRL DRAGON Army and Joint Commercial Operations mission areas. You will bridge operational users with modeling/simulation, training, and emerging commercial space capabilities to enhance mission readiness.

The ideal candidate brings extensive TACSRT/SDA expertise, experience in exercise planning, and a track record of delivering capabilities across government and industry partners.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced operations professional to support the AFRL DRAGON Army and Joint Commercial Operations (JCO) mission areas. This position serves as the critical link between operational users, modeling and simulation environments, training activities, and emerging commercial space capabilities. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in Tactical Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Tracking (TACSRT), Space Domain Awareness (SDA), exercise planning and execution, modeling and simulation integration, and operational support to Combatant Commands. This role requires a unique blend of operational expertise, product ownership, training development, systems integration, and mission-focused problem solving. The successful candidate will support innovation initiatives, operational experimentation, sim-over-live events, exercise execution, mission rehearsals, and capability assessments across the Space Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • TACSRT & Space Operations Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for Tactical Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Tracking (TACSRT), Space Domain Awareness (SDA), and commercial space integration activities.
  • Support JCO and operational customers with analysis, visualization, reporting, and mission execution support.
  • Conduct operational assessments and provide recommendations to improve mission effectiveness.
  • Support real-world operations, training activities, mission rehearsals, and experimentation events.
  • Deliver daily operational briefings and analytical products to government stakeholders and mission partners.
  • Analyze publicly available and government-furnished information to support mission planning and operational decision-making.
  • Exercise Planning & Execution (P&D) Planning and Design (P&D) activities throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC). Coordinate with Combatant Commands, Space Operations organizations, and mission partners to integrate commercial space capabilities into exercises and training events.
  • Support exercise development, scenario design, mission thread integration, event execution, and after-action reporting.
  • Facilitate workshops, tabletop exercises, mission rehearsals, and operational wargames.
  • Develop operational objectives, measures of effectiveness, and assessment criteria for training and experimentation events.
  • Support DRAGON Army Ops Days, Commercial Sprint Advanced Concepts Training (SACT), and other government-sponsored exercises.
  • Operations Integration & Product Support: Translate operational pain points into actionable capability enhancements.
  • Support capability demonstrations, user evaluations, and fielding activities.
  • Validate software functionality and ensure operational suitability within emerging mission environments: modeling and simulation teams, futures team, and operations team.
  • Support deployment and sustainment of mission applications operating in classified and unclassified environments.
  • Training & Mission Readiness: Develop and deliver formal and informal training programs for operators, analysts, and mission partners.
  • Create operational procedures, training materials, quick-reference guides, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct capability onboarding, certification support, and mission qualification training.
  • Mentor junior operators and analysts while fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers regarding mission systems, operational concepts, and emerging capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of military, government, intelligence, space operations, exercise support, or related operational experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting TACSRT, ISR, SDA, space operations, intelligence operations, or operational planning functions.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and executing major military exercises or mission rehearsals.
  • Strong understanding of Joint planning processes and the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in dynamic operational environments.
  • Proven ability to brief senior military and government leaders.
  • Experience supporting operational software tools, visualization platforms, or mission applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel in support of mission requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct experience supporting DRAGON Army, JCO, SPACECOM, USSF, or Combatant Command missions.
  • Qualification or certification in TACSRT operations, Wide Area Vision systems, orbital analytics, or Space Event Analysis.
  • Experience integrating commercial space capabilities into military operations.
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Operations Liaison, Exercise Planner, Mission Manager, or Operational Analyst.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation systems, sim-over-live environments, and digital experimentation.
  • Knowledge of Iron Stallion, Machina, Wide Area Vision, mission management platforms, or similar SDA tools.
  • Experience developing and presenting executive-level briefings and operational assessments.
  • Six Sigma, Lean Process Improvement, Training Development, or Systems Engineering experience preferred.

Basic Compensation

$135K-170K The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
