Job Summary
KBR is looking for a master of synthesis who can bridge the gap between complex astrodynamics, engineering studies, and strategic force design. Seeking a highly collaborative, analytical, and emotionally intelligent future design & integration analyst. In this role, you will serve as a critical translator: gathering complex analysis and studies from across the space enterprise, identifying operational gaps within the fielded force, and packaging them into highly digestible, actionable recommendations for senior USSF leaders. This role is not just about crunching data, but about building relationships, earning trust across diverse staffs, and influencing the future of the Space Force.
Key Responsibilities and Mission Areas
- Gap Analysis & Synthesis: Consume, digest, and synthesize massive volumes of analysis, technical studies, and integration projects. Identify critical gaps between the fielded force (what we have now) and the programmed force (what is planned) across key USSF mission areas: SDA, PNT, MW/MT, SATCOM, C2, BM, OW, EW/ES, Cyber, Satellite Control, and MTI.
- Cross-Staff Integration: Proactively engage, collaborate with, and obtain documentation from diverse staffs, including HQ CFC, SWAC/SSDP, SSIO, HQ USSF S9, mission partners, and international allies.
- Executive Communication: Translate highly complex technical, astrodynamics, and modeling data into clear, concise briefing slides, decision memos, and recommendations for senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in operations research, data science, or related technical field
- 6-10 years’ experience
- An active TS/SCI clearance
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and maturity and active listening skills.
- Proven ability to navigate complex bureaucratic environments, build consensus, and work collaboratively across joint, coalition, and commercial partner staffs.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); demonstrated ability to quickly learn and navigate specialized military analysis, modeling, or simulation systems, or the ability to build relationships with technical staff to translate analysis.
- Proven experience digesting massive volumes of scientific/military studies and distilling them into “Bottom Line Up Front” (BLUF) recommendations.
Desired Qualifications
- The “Translator” Mindset: You can sit in a room with PhD astrodynamicists, understand their data, and immediately pivot to write a 1-page executive summary for a 3-Star General.
- Bureaucratic Diplomacy: You understand that getting the right data often requires building genuine relationships with action officers on other staffs, not just sending formal tasks.
- Comfort with Ambiguity: You thrive when given a mountain of unstructured reports and are trusted to find the “so what” that impacts the joint warfighter.
- Experience with the Warp Core and/or Envision platforms.
- Experience with Python.
- Location: On site.
- Travel Requirements: Minimal.
- Working Hours: Standard, 40 hours per week (Full-time).
Compensation
- For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $140,000 - $170,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
- Other Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
- Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
KBR Benefits
- KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
- We support career advancement through professional training and development.
