FedEx in Tennessee seeks a seasoned operations engineer to evaluate and implement manpower and systems projects aimed at reducing expenses, increasing revenue, and enhancing customer service.

You will work with field management, consult on operations and facility planning, and develop budgets and plans for efficient package sorting and GSE.

Some travel required; bachelor’s degree in engineering and five years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with field management to achieve objectives.
• Consult with management on field operations and facility planning.
• Implementing and monitoring field and back-office activities.
• Developing plans for efficient package volume distribution through computerized sort systems.
• Establishing job methods for hourly and clerical functions.
• Development of the operational budget based on recommendations for cost savings in facilities and equipment.
• Participate in studies aimed at implementing innovative engineering concepts into operations, resulting in product benefits for the company and its customers.
• Serve as a communication link between operations and corporate departments, providing technical expertise related to facility planning, including five-year planning, equipment, layout, GSE planning, and cost justifications.
