A large US food manufacturer in Washington, DC is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the plant's day-to-day activities and join the senior management team. You will manage the budget, ensure operational compliance, and address administrative issues, shaping strategy with the executive team.

The role requires 15+ years in plant management at a large facility, including at least 2 years as a director/plant manager, and experience with USDA-regulated meat or frozen foods.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of plant management experience in food manufacturing with at least 2 years at director level.
• Experience managing in a large manufacturing environment (1000+ employees).
• USDA meat or frozen foods background.
• Strategic planning experience.
• Track record of building productive cultures.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a 1000+ employee food manufacturing plant.
• Lead and mentor management staff.
• Ensure plant safety and regulatory compliance is followed.
• Measure the effectiveness of all processes (budget, operations, and management).
• Determine plant's strategic growth as part of the executive team.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and projects.
