Taurus Search is looking for a highly driven Senior Operations Associate in Chicago to take ownership of loan, trade settlement, and cash reconciliation functions. With a rapidly growing portfolio in Private Credit management at nearly $30B in AUM, your expertise will be pivotal in executing trade settlements across various loan types and managing cash reconciliations.

The ideal candidate should possess 3-6 years of experience in loan operations and have direct experience with tools like ClearPar and Wall Street Office. This position also involves oversight of junior analysts, offering scope for leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in loan operations or fund operations.
• Experience in both loan agency and asset management roles is a huge advantage.
• Hands-on experience with trade settlement processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage trade settlements for various loans and derivatives.
• Own cash and position reconciliations across multiple parties.
• Coordinate deal funding and verify necessary documentation.
• Review and negotiate trade documentation.
• Serve as the point of contact for external agents.
• Manage KYC documentation packages and support accounting reconciliation.

Job description

A highly regarded Private Credit manager in Chicago, presently scaling to nearly $30B in AUM across complex credit strategies following their largest investment close to date. They are looking for a highly driven Senior Operations Associate equipped to take ownership of their entire loan, trade settlement, and cash recon function.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage trade settlements across broadly syndicated loans, private loans, ABS, and derivatives
• Own cash and position reconciliations across custodians, fund administrators, and internal systems; identify and resolve breaks
• Coordinate deal funding: wire execution, fund transfers, and documentation verification at close
• Review and negotiate trade documentation including Purchase and Sale Agreements, Assignment Agreements, Participation Agreements, and Funding Memos
• Serve as the POC for external agents: banks, counterparties, custodians, and fund admins on ongoing loan activity
• Manage KYC documentation packages, administrative details, tax forms, fund formation docs
• Support the accounting team on transaction reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
• Provide oversight and supervision to a junior analyst.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in loan operations, fund operations role (a combination of loan agency/fund administrator and asset management experience is a HUGE advantage)
• Direct, hands‑on experience with ClearPar for BSL trade settlement
• Working knowledge of Wall Street Office (WSO) for loan lifecycle management
• Ability to read and interpret credit agreements, PSAs, and assignment documentation without legal hand‑holding
• Experience resolving cash and position breaks across multiple custodians or fund admins simultaneously
