Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Planning Support Specialist to drive day-to-day execution for MARFORPAC G-5 planning activities. You will own coordination, staffing, and production of planning outputs to deliver on-time, decision-ready materials for senior leaders.

You will apply established templates, maintain version control, and mentor junior staff while ensuring alignment with JPEC processes across theaters and commands. Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 10+ years related experience.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• 7+ years supporting military/federal planning.

Responsibilities

• Support planning cycles across operational, functional, campaign, and posture planning.
• Synchronize inputs with USINDOPACOM, HQMC, MARFORPAC, and MEFs.
• Manage planning tasks, suspense dates, staffing actions, and deadlines.
• Run OPT and working group support (prep, read-aheads, notes/actions, closeout).
• Develop briefing decks, information papers for senior leaders.
• Edit and format products for executive-ready quality.
• Maintain version control and auditable staffing records.
• Coordinate program-based planning tasks across organizations.
• Support posture initiative planning and implementation tracking.
• Coach junior staff on battle rhythm discipline and staffing hygiene.
