This role will initially focus on supporting the Research Institute's enterprise eResearch Modernization (eRM) program, one of the organization's highest-priority strategic transformation initiatives. A Brief Overview

The Senior Operational Efficiency Partner is an internal consultant providing project management and business process improvement services. This role:

  • Manages a broad body of highly complex initiatives and requires the ability to adapt their style based upon the needs of the audience.
  • Follows a structured, project management approach.
  • Exhibits advanced skill in planning, management, organization and communication.
  • Independently negotiates critical and controversial issues with leaders and project teams for the successful management and on-time delivery of programs and projects.

  • Trains and mentors less experienced team members.
What You Will Do
  • Program & Project Management
  • Manages large scale, highly complex projects as well as the scope and timelines to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Communicates relevant project plans and alternatives, including issue and risk analyses and mitigation strategies to project stakeholders.
  • Develops and monitors project budget and work plans and prepares written documentation in support of planned projects.
  • Works collaboratively with leaders to estimate project resources.

  • Exhibits creativity and advanced technical skill to promote organizational transformation by advising on the planning and execution of business process improvement efforts throughout the organization.
  • Applies the organizational appropriate framework for managing improvement projects.
  • Leads collaboratively with clinical, administrative and operational leaders to implement improvements in complex environments and workstreams and uses data to drive fact-based decision making.
  • Leads end-to-end clinical operations process modeling to support documentation of interrelated systems, structures, personnel and processes.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • At least seven (7) years relevant experience Required and
  • At least three (3) years in Process/Quality improvement, consulting, leadership role with a focus on healthcare or relevant clinical domain Required
  • Healthcare, process reengineering, quality improvement, project/ portfolio management, business process improvement, consulting Preferred
Skills And Abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional work teams with no direct reporting relationship. These teams include internal employees as well as consultants and contractors.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Knowledge of organizational dynamics, change theory, reliability and safety science, improvement methods and tools, measurement and statistical process control.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary.
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills are required for the successful management of this function.
  • Demonstrates strong ability to prioritize work, excellent organizational skills and initiative to improve processes.
  • Change agent demeanor. Must be a flexible thinker, with an ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) - National Association for Healthcare Quality - - Preferred or
  • Certified Manager of Quality (CQM) - American Society for Quality (ASQ) - - Preferred or
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI) - - Preferred
