Job summary

Freddie Mac is seeking a skilled risk and controls professional to join the Enterprise Business Risk & Control Office in a dynamic, agile environment. You will perform control testing, validate design and operating effectiveness, and manage related data in our GRC tools while escalating gaps as needed.

This full-time role emphasizes analytical thinking, learning, and collaboration, with opportunities to improve testing processes and contribute to a strong control environment across Freddie Mac.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall experience with a minimum of 2-3 years of control testing and/or audit experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS/Technology/Accounting Information Systems or related field preferred.
• Extensive experience with controls testing (design reviews and operational effectiveness testing).
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CPA are preferred.
• Experience testing information systems or information security is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform control test of design and test of operating effectiveness, producing thorough, high quality work papers with appropriate evidence to support conclusions.
• Execute testing in adherence with procedures and documentation requirements.
• Identify and escalates inconsistencies or gaps to reviewers in a timely manner.
• Manage control test related data in GRC Tool for accuracy and completeness.
• Challenge status quo and identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes, including testing automation.
