Nscale is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (OpenStack Ironic Specialist) to design, operate, and improve bare metal provisioning platforms underpinning the company’s GPU cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with network, compute, data centre, support, and pre-sales teams, acting as a specialist escalation point for provisioning and hardware issues.

Qualifications

• Strong experience operating Linux in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of OpenStack Ironic and bare metal provisioning.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience with Ansible and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Hands-on debugging of hardware lifecycle across hardware profiles, including GPU servers.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable bare metal provisioning platforms focusing on OpenStack Ironic.
• Own full lifecycle of physical infrastructure from discovery to deprovisioning.
• Build and maintain provisioning workflows for various hardware profiles, including GPU servers.
• Automate hardware onboarding, firmware/configuration, and deployment workflows.
