Job summary

Red Hat IT OpenShift team seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale OpenShift platforms across on-prem and cloud. You will automate infrastructure, extend CI/CD pipelines, and apply GitOps practices to manage declarative platforms.

You will lead on-call incidents and contribute to scalable, resilient services. You will work within a global team, blending coding, operations, and distributed-systems design to reduce toil and improve reliability in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating production services on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• 3+ years of programming experience in Python and Go.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud providers (Google, Azure, AWS).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, Linux (RHEL/Fedora preferred).
• Experience with GitOps workflows for managing infrastructure or configuration.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and networking basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage large-scale infrastructure and platform services (public cloud, private cloud, data center).
• Automate cloud infrastructure using scripting, monitoring, and alerting tools.
• Develop and expand Red Hat OpenShift offerings and CI/CD components (OpenShift Pipelines, Tekton, GitLab).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with GitOps via ArgoCD for declarative management.
• Lead on-call activities, incident response, blameless postmortems, and post-incident reviews.
