Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Red Hat OpenShift Engineer SME to lead production OpenShift environments across DoD projects. The role requires hands-on administration, architecture guidance, and security-compliant delivery in hybrid cloud and on-premises settings.

You will coordinate with cloud, cyber, PM, and customer teams, mentor engineers, and influence architecture decisions while maintaining operational resilience and deployment efficiency.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent or directly relevant experience.
• 7+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering with substantial hands-on Kubernetes/OpenShift experience.
• Experience operating OpenShift in production across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments.
• Experience with DoD/classified environments and DoD security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, administer, upgrade, and sustain OpenShift across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infra.
• Own OpenShift cluster lifecycle: install, config, upgrades, patching, backup, certificates.
• Serve as senior escalation point for production OpenShift issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Onboard customer/partner teams and coordinate resources and support.
• Implement and troubleshoot OpenShift/Kubernetes networking and storage.
• Automate infrastructure and config using IaC, Helm, and GitOps.
