Job summary

Qode is seeking a senior OpenShift Architect/Engineer to lead platform initiatives from planning through execution. This remote role requires deep hands-on expertise, strong architectural skills, and the ability to work independently while partnering closely with customer teams.

The position emphasizes designing, implementing, and enhancing OpenShift and related CI/CD pipelines, with an initial 3-month contract and potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• OpenShift architecture and hands-on experience designing and deploying enterprise OpenShift environments.
• Strong Kubernetes, OpenShift networking, and container platform expertise.
• Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, automation, and version control.
• Advanced Ansible Automation Platform experience.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and drive projects independently.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve OpenShift platform readiness and operational maturity.
• Design and implement OpenShift networking solutions.
• Troubleshoot cluster health, capacity, storage, and workload issues.
• Enhance GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Advance Ansible Automation Platform capabilities and operational automation.
• Provide platform lifecycle and upgrade planning guidance.
• Create technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.
• Deliver hands‑on coaching and knowledge transfer to team members.
