Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking engineers to build security for a cloud-scale OpenSearch platform handling log analytics and search workloads. You will influence security features for both OSS users and AWS customers, operating at massive scale.

The team values customer focus, metrics-driven decisions, and rapid delivery in a startup-like, fast-paced environment tied to AWS OpenSearch services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one language.
• 5+ years leading design/architecture of systems.
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support security for a world-class platform serving individuals and businesses of all sizes.
• Build technologies that help customers strengthen their security posture in AWS Cloud.
• Work at the core of the AWS OpenSearch service with open source opportunities.
• Tackle challenges in data storage, query optimization, JVM performance, security, ML and more.
• Join a team that values intuition but backs decisions with metrics and data.
• Support plugin teams in meeting security requirements for host logging and vulnerability detection.
• Continually challenge existing solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
• Participate in setting a vision for AWS OpenSearch aligned with customer needs.
