Job summary

Lynx Software Technologies, Inc. in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Open Mission Systems (OMS) to drive development, integration and testing of avionics software.

The role requires hands-on C++ expertise and experience with OMS architectures, DDS pub/sub, and service-oriented designs. You will work within a multi-site team on mission-critical software for defense platforms, with onsite requirements in Fort Worth or Palmdale and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 5+ years of C++ development experience.
• Experience with Open Mission Systems (OMS) software.
• Middleware and data distribution (DDS, pub/sub).
• Service-oriented and event-driven software design experience.
• Interface definition, ICD development and data modeling.
• Mission-level simulation and integration testing.
• Ability to work onsite 100%.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and test OMS software for a military aircraft platform.
• Collaborate in a multi-site team to deliver mission-critical software.
• Contribute to software design, documentation and interfaces with system teams.
• Ensure security and compliance requirements for classified programs.
