Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Senior Ontologist for Biologics Discovery to own semantic models that enable knowledge graphs, AI/ML, and data products across biologics workflows.

You will partner with experimental scientists, data scientists, and IT to capture domain semantics, translate them into ontology modules, and ensure alignment with enterprise governance across the molecule lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or knowledge-graph development.
• Proficiency with OWL, RDF(S), SKOS, SHACL, SPARQL, and ontology design patterns.
• Ability to translate scientific concepts into computable semantic models and align with enterprise governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, release, and maintain validated ontology modules and mappings across biologics discovery domains.
• Publish ontology packages as API-ready semantic assets for knowledge graphs and AI/ML workflows.
• Collaborate with biologists, assay scientists, and data engineers to translate complex biology into computable semantic models.
