Job summary

North Georgia Civil Inc. (NGC General Contractors) seeks a Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead on-site activities, own the project schedule, and ensure safety, quality, and documentation across commercial and federal projects.

The selected candidate will coordinate multiple subcontractors, manage look-ahead schedules, and maintain ACC-based records while communicating with the Project Manager and facility representatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Site Lead on commercial, federal, or occupied-facility remodels.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods, sequencing, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and hold subcontractors accountable for schedule, production, and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety on site, enforce PPE and sign-in requirements, and conduct toolbox talks.
• Manage day-to-day construction activities from mobilization to completion.
• Maintain a 3-week look-ahead schedule and report delays or issues promptly.
• Verify work in ACC before inspections and ensure all submittals are approved.
• Maintain project documentation across ACC, Smartsheet, Gmail, Slack, and Google Drive.
• Coordinate disruptions with the owner's representative and PM.
