AT&T is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer (Firewall Policy Implementation) to operate, maintain, and optimize firewall platforms at enterprise scale. This is a hands-on role focused on policy quality, incident troubleshooting, and automation using AI tools.

The position is onsite, five days per week, in the Charlotte, NC hub with potential consideration for other hubs. You will engage in policy lifecycle management and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen security posture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years operating and maintaining Firewall Policies in production.
• Extensive hands-on enterprise firewall policy management.
• Strong change-control and post-change verification.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and implement firewall rules to mitigate risk.
• Own day-to-day firewall policy operations and tuning.
• Apply safe configuration change management with validation.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and policy issues and outages.
• Identify and drive automation and AI opportunities.
• Collaborate with IT, network, and operations teams.
