Job summary

Moody's is seeking a Senior OneStream Functional Analyst to support financial planning systems, improve processes, and enable smarter decisions. You will partner with business leaders to design actionable strategies and implement OneStream solutions to enhance performance.

You will transform raw data using OneStream features and lead operational excellence across the SDLC, incident management, and audit compliance. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on OneStream planning experience for budgeting and forecasting.
• 3+ years in IT project implementations related to Finance and Accounting.
• Proficient in Excel modelling, VB.NET, SQL Server; familiarity with Fabric Lakehouse/IQ Planning.

Skills and Competencies

• Extensive hands-on experience with OneStream planning, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and finance-related processes
• Proven expertise in system operations, business analysis, and managing EPM Cloud operations for Finance and Accounting, with 3+ years in IT project implementations
• Proficiency in advanced Excel modelling, Visual Basic .NET, SQL Server; familiarity with Fabric Lakehouse and IQ Planning is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business and technical issues, identify root causes, translate business needs into actionable technical solutions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Skilled in project and issue management tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow, ensuring efficient workflows and resolution tracking
• Success in cross-functional team collaboration, stakeholder relationship management, and aligning priorities to achieve shared business goals in dynamic environments
• Working knowledge of Semarchy or similar enterprise Master Data Management platforms with exposure to MDM governance concepts is a plus
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems or Project Management.

Responsibilities

Seeking an experienced Senior OneStream Functional Analyst to support financial planning systems, improve processes, and enable smarter decisions.

• Partner with business leaders to understand challenges, design actionable strategies, and implement OneStream solutions to enhance performance and enable strategic decision-making
• Transform raw transactional data into analytical insights using OneStream’s Specialty Planning, Analytical Blend, and custom solutions to meet evolving business needs
• Lead operational excellence across the SDLC and incident management, utilizing JIRA for structured project plans, timely delivery, and compliance with audit standards
• Manage security protocols, access provisioning, and governance activities, ensuring SOX compliance and adherence to regulatory standards
• Drive efficiency through process automation, data reconciliation improvements, and deployment of BI tools and advanced technologies
• Oversee platform scalability, proactive issue resolution, and continuous improvement, ensuring transparency with detailed project reporting
• Execute administrative tasks to manage master data operations in Semarchy, including maintaining user access privileges, supporting data steward workflows, monitoring hierarchy job execution, and coordinating with teams on approval workflows and audit reviews
• Streamline OneStream master data management by integrating it with Semarchy to enhance workflow transparency, strengthen data governance, minimize incident frequency, and mitigate audit risks
• Develop SOPs, mentor team members, and deliver impactful training programs to empower users and maximize the EPM platform’s capabilities

The EPM Team, part of the Data and Analytics department, focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and enabling digital transformation through financial modelling, data management, innovation, and AI solutions. We partner closely with the Finance team to foster innovation, optimize processes, and empower smarter, faster decision-making. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is$119,100.00-$172,650.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
