Job summary

UC San Diego Health seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator (RN) to design and deliver clinician education and leadership development programs within Cancer Services. You will collaborate with nursing leadership to tailor ongoing education, onboarding, and competency activities for oncology teams including medical, surgical, cellular therapy, infusion and radiation care.

Qualifications

A BSN is required for this role.
RN license issued by the state of California is required.
Current ART certification, or BLS/CPR and ACLS with plan to obtain ART within 6 months.
Five or more years of oncology RN experience.
Experience with hospital management and patient care services.
Knowledge of disaster management, sentinel events, and problem solving.
Experience delivering education and training materials for orientation and leadership development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with evidence-based nursing practice and clinical inquiry.
Strong critical thinking and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver clinician education and leadership development programs.

Oversee cancer services onboarding including competency-based orientation and preceptor development.
