Job summary

Zentalis Pharmaceuticals, a clinical oncology innovator, seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison to develop and maintain long-term scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and other healthcare professionals. The MSL will support clinical development and partner with cross-functional teams to provide insights for medical strategy.

The role emphasizes scientific exchange, education, and accurate interpretation of complex clinical data.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in biotech/pharma with at least 3 years as an MSL
• Oncology experience strongly preferred
• Ability to interpret clinical data and communicate clearly

Responsibilities

• Independently develops and maintains long-term, strategic scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Independently develops and executes strategic engagement plans for key opinion leaders, investigators, and priority accounts within the assigned territory.
• Conducts balanced, non-promotional scientific exchange and delivers scientific presentations and medical education to healthcare professionals.
• Independently interprets and communicates complex clinical and scientific data accurately, to the audience's knowledge level.
• Identifies, analyzes, documents, and communicates actionable medical insights and competitive intelligence gathered through field interactions and conferences.
• Supports local, regional, and national scientific meetings through KOL engagement and congress coverage.
• Collaborates with Clinical Development, Medical Communications, Regulatory, and other teams to support Medical Affairs objectives.
• Provides scientific support for clinical development and research activities, including investigator engagement and trial sites.
• Engages in discussions regarding biomarker testing and patient identification for ongoing trials.
• Supports planning and execution of scientific advisory boards; liaison for investigator-sponsored trials.
• Leads Field Medical projects and contributes to team initiatives.
• Maintains expertise through ongoing professional development and awareness of evolving treatment landscape.
