Job summary

Eisai is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) to engage externally with healthcare providers and researchers in the United States.

The role requires delivering scientific data, educating stakeholders, and guiding cross-functional teams while supporting Eisai’s medical affairs strategy. The position is field-based with a home-based office setup; expects substantial travel (approximately 60%) across the territory.

Qualifications

• Requires an advanced, terminal Doctorate level (D-level) degree in medical or health sciences (e.g. MD, PhD, PharmD, DPH, EdD).
• For MSL, 0-3 years pharma/biotech/clinical experience; for Sr. MSL, minimum 3 years MSL experience in Oncology/Hematology.
• Strong knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations and OIG guidelines; ability to communicate across disease states.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary clinical/scientific resource to Healthcare Providers in the territory.
• Convey accurate medical information between KOLs and Eisai Medical Affairs.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in therapeutic areas of interest.
• Lead scientific exchanges with identified KOLs and participate in management-approved congress coverage.
• Present clinical and economic data to population-based decision-makers as requested.
• Teach, coach and mentor new MSLs; contribute to leadership and strategic projects.
