Job summary

Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute is seeking a senior medical coder to manage and code oncology clinical notes, collaborating with physicians and care teams to ensure accurate documentation and billing.

Role requires 7+ years of coding experience, proficiency with EMR systems, and knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM rules. Oncologic coding expertise and commitment to compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience coding and coordinating with physicians.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.
• Experience with OncoEMR, Mosaiq, EMA EMR and G4 Studio preferred.
• Experience with Encoder Pro or AAPC Coder.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and oncology is highly desired.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute coding of clinical notes for at least one specialty.
• Provide feedback and documentation guidance to physicians, practice management, and coders.
• Support Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program.
