Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 3 to support inpatient and outpatient operations. The role includes compounding per USP standards, processing prescriptions, and assisting with inventory and distribution under pharmacist supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a CPhT with 2+ years of experience; training of new staff is part of the job. A sign-on bonus is offered to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Two years of pharamcy tech experience preferred.
• Knowledge of USP standards for compounding is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare non-hazardous and hazardous drugs per USP standards.
• Process prescriptions, including insurance adjudication and prior authorization.
• Train new staff and supervise technician trainees.
• Manage inventory and support distribution and safety procedures.
