Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England's Pharmacy team seeks a Pharmacy Technician to help deliver safe, accurate, and timely medication distribution for Oncology and Infusion therapy patients. You will assist pharmacists in processing orders, preparing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring patients receive the medications they need.

Qualified candidates have at least 6 months of sterile IV compounding and chemotherapy preparation experience, hold an active Pharmacy Technician registration or

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of sterile IV compounding and chemotherapy preparation experience.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure or Pharmacy Intern license required.
• National certification by the PTCB within 1 year if not already obtained.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, package, and distribute medications for inpatient care areas.
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis) including loading and inventory management.
• Process and prioritize medication orders, including urgent STAT requests.
• Prepare sterile IV admixtures and chemotherapy medications using aseptic technique.
• Deliver medications and supplies to nursing units and patient care areas.
• Maintain medication inventory and assist with drug order receiving and storage.
• Conduct medication storage inspections and support regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records related to medication use, inventory, and charges.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow hospital, pharmacy, and regulatory policies to ensure safety and excellence.
