Job summary

City of Hope in California is seeking a compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our infusion clinic, delivering cutting-edge cancer therapies and providing comfort and hope to patients. This full-time role involves 10-hour shifts (four per week) with evening start times on weekdays and weekend/holiday shifts.

You will administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy, monitor patients, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing.
• Current California RN license.
• Minimum of three years related experience; oncology nursing preferred.
• BLS CPR Card through American Heart Association.
• ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card.
• OCN preferred.
• Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and cancer treatment principles.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments following safety guidelines.
• Monitor patients during infusions and assess for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and side effects.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records of treatment administration.
• Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence to patients and families.
