Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. seeks an Associate Medical Director, Clinical Development – Oncology to lead the design, planning, and execution of oncology studies, partnering with investigators and KOLs to advance its hematology/oncology portfolio.

The role involves leading clinical study teams, contributing to regulatory submissions, and presenting data globally, with a primarily remote work arrangement and periodic on-site meetings; candidates should have MD/DO and pharma development

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or non-US equivalent of MD.
• Completion of a residency program strongly preferred.
• Completion of a subspecialty fellowship is desirable.
• Experience in blood cancers or solid tumors desirable.
• 0 to 3 years of pharmaceutical drug development experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a clinical protocol that supports the product development plan, emphasis on hematological malignancies.
• Provide clinical input to protocols, regulatory documents, publications, and site interactions.
• Lead clinical study teams and monitor study integrity, safety and efficacy data.
• Present at scientific, medical, and regulatory meetings globally.
• Author manuscripts and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and thought leaders.
