Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Senior Medical Director, Oncology Clinical Development - GU, reporting to the Executive Medical Director, CDL. You will lead clinical research for GU oncology, drive trials from concept to regulatory filing, and manage relationships with external experts to grow a transformative portfolio.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with completion of advanced specialty training in a relevant oncology field.
• Experience leading GU Oncology drug development and global trials (Phase 1–3).
• Academic or clinical research publication history in GU Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional, global Phase 1–3 interventional trials in GU oncology.
• Represent disease-area strategy and medical affairs in strategy teams.
• Oversee protocol development aligned with clinical development plans.
• Contribute to regulatory documents and health authority responses.
• Engage with external experts to build strategic partnerships.
• Monitor safety data and participate in real-time medical monitoring.
• Collaborate with Regulatory, CMC, Toxicology, and Pharmacology teams.
• Lead oncology development initiatives and learn from data analyses.
