JD Development Group on the Markham site in Ontario seeks a Construction Manager to translate drawings, budgets and schedules into finished homes, delivered safely, on time and on budget. The role partners with the owner’s rep, PMCs, design consultants and trades to meet tight project goals.

You will lead site teams, manage safety, permits, inspections and Tarion requirements while driving quality and timely handovers across GTA projects.

Qualificações

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology or related field.
• 8+ years of residential construction experience, including 3+ years leading projects as Construction Manager or Senior Superintendent.
• Delivered low-rise or mid-rise residential projects from start to occupancy.
• Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, OHSA, O. Reg. 213/91, Construction Act and Tarion requirements.
• Current Working at Heights and WHMIS training, or willingness to obtain before start.
• Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6, Procore (or similar) and Microsoft 365.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel between sites.

Responsabilidades

• Lead all construction activity on assigned projects from site mobilization through occupancy, final inspections and handover.
• Coordinate design consultants, engineers and owner’s representative to resolve RFIs, drawing conflicts and site issues quickly.
• Build and maintain the master construction schedule; set look-ahead schedules with superintendents and trades.
• Lead weekly site and trade coordination meetings and issue minutes.
• Act as or oversee the Constructor’s responsibilities under the Ontario OHSA and related regs.
• Maintain the site safety program: orientations, inspections, incident reporting and investigations.
• Review trade progress claims and ensure prompt payment timelines.
• Manage subcontractor performance, scope, change orders and back-charges.
• Deliver work to building code, JD quality standards and coordinate permits/inspections.
• Lead, coach and assess site superintendents and staff; handle community relations and site logistics.
