Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a competent Superintendent to lead plumbing systems installations in California. You will schedule material, equipment and manpower, oversee quality, and build strong contractor relationships.

You will manage field crews, verify progress, control costs, ensure safety and on-time completion, and develop subcontractor networks. Proficiency in reading plans, takeoffs, and cost controls is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management, Engineering, or related field is desirable. Experience will compensate for education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• California Class C Driver License, with good DMV record is required.
• Seven or more years’ of experience as a full charge Project Manager/ Superintendent
• Knowledge of Plumbing/HVAC construction
• High proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
• Must be able to operate and travel by vehicle for extended times, up to 10 hours per day
• Must be able to use critical thinking to effectively solve issues

Responsibilities

• Open and maintain a clear channel of communication between job site and project manager. Ensure all material is available when needed, working with Purchasing in order to meet goals
• Manage field employees, scheduling of manpower for each assigned project
• Inspect and verify job quality, progress, changes, safety, and production
• Assure that all jobs are completed on time, under estimated budgets and within quality specifications as defined by customer and Company.
• Field labor and material management: Identify labor and material problem jobs; correct the problem and enact budget adjustments to protect revenue stream
• Observe and ensure job site safety during project management visits
• Maintain relationships with Builder operations
• Steadily add new qualified manpower to grow the business
• Must be able to read plans, perform takeoffs, estimating and reviewing cost controls.
• Provide technical support to field personnel
• Develop subcontractor base
• Excellent time and task management, ability to multitask
• Positive attitude, passionate and driven
• Requires minimal supervision
• Composes and/or edits correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, presentations and other documents
• Review job cost reports to ensure accuracy
• Follow all safety procedures on the jobsite
• Travel to different jobsites as directed by management
• Performs within the values and guidelines of the companies regulations.
• Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes
• Other duties or projects as assigned
