Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Display Hardware Engineer, OLED Panel, to drive OLED technology maturation for automotive displays in Warren, MI. You will lead development of OLED pixel structures, stack designs, and TCON/driver IC integration, partnering with suppliers and cross-functional teams to advance readiness for production programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of OLED display technology development experience.
• Strong knowledge of OLED pixel architecture, TFT backplanes (LTPS/Oxide), and tandem OLED stack technologies.
• Experience with TCONs, driver ICs, display interfaces, and timing architectures.
• Understanding of OLED optical performance.

Responsibilities

• Scout and evaluate emerging OLED pixel structure and tandem stack technologies for future automotive display programs.
• Define technology requirements and feasibility criteria for next-generation OLED structures and lead supplier engagement.
• Lead proof-of-concept builds and technology demonstrations with OLED panel suppliers.
• Evaluate optical performance via simulations and bench measurements with coordination from Optical Engineer.
• Define and validate TCON and driver IC specifications for emerging technologies with suppliers.
• Conduct bench evaluations and simulations of brightness, color shift, and power consumption.
