Job summary

Chromalox is seeking a 1st Shift CNC Specialist to join Durex Industries' Okuma CNC operations. You will program, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize Okuma CNC tools using OSP Controls, focusing on multi-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn processes.

You will generate setup sheets, tooling lists, work instructions, and SOPs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a high-mix, low-volume environment. You will also mentor production personnel and collaborate with engineering to improve

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Okuma CNC machine tools.
• Extensive experience using Okuma OSP Controls.
• Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines, Okuma MU Series 5-axis machining centers
• Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)
• Ability to create setup sheets, tooling documentation, work instructions, and machining standards.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
• Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and mentor production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize Okuma CNC machine tools using OSP Controls.
• Support production on Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines, MU Series 5-Axis machining centers, and Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).
• Develop and improve CNC machining processes for multi-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn applications.
