Job summary

Semperis is seeking a Senior IAM Consultant to join our team in a hybrid role serving Dallas, Phoenix, Austin, Ottawa, or Toronto. You will assess Okta configurations from a security perspective, design remediation strategies, and help customers strengthen their identity platforms.

You will work with the Identity Forensics and Research teams to identify vulnerabilities, develop exposure indicators, and create roadmaps to uplift security or migrate to EntraID.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of knowledge and hands-on experience in Okta and Identity and Access Management from either the offensive or defensive side.
• Experience delivering Professional Services consultation in Okta environments – Entra would be a significant advantage.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Entra/Active Directory and/or PingOne – advantage.
• Proven customer-facing orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to concisely communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building methodology to assess Okta configuration from a Cyber Security perspective and with remediation strategies.
• Develop remediation plans to contain and remove threats in customers' Okta tenants and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Support forensics team with assessments and tools during vulnerability and incident responses.
• Collaborate with Research to identify Okta weaknesses and indicators of exposure with remediation guidance.
• Create customer roadmaps to improve Okta security and migrate to EntraID if desired.
• Perform security assessments of Okta tenants, including config reviews and attack-path analysis.
• Maintain expert knowledge of Okta attacks and security features.
• Collaborate across Sales, Product, Research and Engineering to feed field learnings into roadmap.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Senior IAM Consultant to join our team.

What you will be doing:

• Assist in building methodology to assess Okta configuration from a Cyber Security perspective and with remediation strategies.

• Assist with the remediation strategies and plans for containing and removing threats from customers’ Okta tenants and effectively communicate them to customer stakeholders and technical staff.

• Assist Semperis Identity Forensics team with assessment, methodology (including tools) to utilize during vulnerability and incident response engagements. Help customers optimize their deployment of Semperis products to protect their Okta IDP.

• Work closely with the Research team, uncovering weaknesses and exploitable vulnerabilities within Okta, including developing Indicators of Exposure to alert and remediation guidance.

• Develop roadmaps for customers to uplift their Okta security posture and/or migrate to other IDPs such as EntraID.

• Perform security assessments of customers’ Okta tenant environments, encompassing operational review, security configuration review, and attack path analysis.

• Maintain expert knowledge of Okta attacks and security features.

• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Research and Engineering teams to influence feature development and roadmap feedback based on field learnings.

What you will bring to the table:

• At least 5 years of knowledge and hands‑on experience in Okta and Identity and Access Management from either the offensive or defensive side.
