Job summary

Nationwide Financial Actuarial team seeks an OIPA Configuration Sr. Analyst to translate business requirements into OIPA configurations, test features, and support product launches in collaboration with Actuarial, IT, and Product teams.

Ideal candidates are technically curious, have 3–4+ years in config-heavy roles, and are eager to advance to higher complexity configuration, IT architecture, or product strategy paths within a Fortune 100 company.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (including VBA within Access and Excel) and actuarial models.
• Proficient problem solving, learning on the fly, and working with system capabilities.
• Ability to handle data and analytics in a financial/actuarial context.

Responsibilities

• Configure rules, calculations, and system logic within OIPA (80–90% of the role).
• Build test tools and validate product calculations.
• Analyze data and system behavior to identify improvements or defects.
• Assist in projection/valuation processes and financial/actuarial reporting workflows.
• Contribute ideas to improve performance, architecture, and operational processes.
