PetroLedger is seeking an experienced Oil & Gas General Ledger Accountant to maintain the full accounting lifecycle for active clients. You will own the general ledger, perform journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in oil & gas accounting, with hands-on experience across JIB, revenue recognition, and month-end close, plus strong Excel skills and familiarity with Wolfepak or similar systems.

Qualificações

• College degree required; Accounting degree strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive oil & gas accounting experience across JIB, revenue, close, and reporting.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of the accounting lifecycle including JIB, revenue recognition, and month-end close.
• Hands-on experience with oil & gas accounting systems such as Wolfepak; familiarity with Excalibur, SAP, OGSYS or similar.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP as applied to oil & gas operations; advanced Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own full-cycle GL and financial reporting for oil & gas clients.
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries with minimal oversight.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Prepare P&L statements and assist with monthly/quarterly/annual close.
• Maintain fixed asset and oil & gas property accounting records.
• Assist with audits and tax inquiries as needed.
