Qualifications

  • GS-15 position does not have an education qualification requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Advises on major program planning and policy considerations.
  • Makes recommendations to agency budget and program officials to gain acceptance of proposals.
  • Supports or changes program emphasis as needed.
  • Develops data and briefs senior OIG management for press conferences, OMB hearings, and cross-agency meetings.
  • Develops and evaluates plans and methodologies to forecast resource needs.
  • Oversees reports and analyses of program spending with recommendations to maximize resources.
  • Develops best practices for improved operational effectiveness.
  • Monitors performance metrics and aligns them with the strategic plan.
  • Redirects projects or realigns resources to address shortfalls.
  • Leads work groups and represents OMP on committees and meetings.
  • Represents OIG to groups at the HHS level and other Federal agencies.
  • Completes special projects as requested by leadership.
  • Assists senior leadership in budgeting, travel, procurement, space management, and staffing policies.
  • Supervises staff and manages HR-related processes; coordinates space, security, and equipment for new staff.
  • Ensures proper operations, sets priorities, and assigns schedules; identifies training needs.
