Job summary

Natural England is seeking a Senior Officer to provide technical leadership and strategic support in marine planning and licensing. You will work with the Principal Officer and colleagues across Strategy and Operations to strengthen capability, ensure clear guidance, and share good practice.

You will help develop guidance, training, and networks to support consistent, proportionate approaches to marine planning, licensing, and environmental assessment.

Responsibilities

• Advise Government on national policy issues, contributing to planning policy and responses to national consultations.
• Provide strategic technical advice and leadership to programme and operations teams, developing new approaches to planning and infrastructure work.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key national partners including Government, regulators, NGOs and the commercial sector.
