Job summary

Parry Labs is seeking an experienced security engineer to lead authorized offensive assessments of software, networks, and distributed systems. You will identify vulnerabilities, demonstrate impact, and verify fixes with engineering teams under direction from senior leadership.

The target start is November 2026. You will work with Linux systems, C/C++, and Rust code, building tests and tooling, while collaborating across teams to advance DoD-aligned security objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in security engineering, with hands-on offensive testing or vulnerability research.
• Experience with authorized penetration testing, protocol analysis, fuzzing and vulnerability assessment.
• Ability to review Rust or C/C++ and develop security test tooling in Python or a systems language.
• Experience analyzing Linux and network behavior, including TCP/IP, service config and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop threat models and security test plans linked to system requirements.
• Define authorized test scope, rules of engagement and stop conditions with stakeholders.
• Conduct penetration testing, protocol analysis and vulnerability research in approved environments.
• Build protocol and parser fuzzing tools; add repeatable security checks to automation.
• Review Linux services and network interfaces; assess security weaknesses in code.
