Job summary

MBARI in Moss Landing, CA seeks a software engineer to develop and maintain large-scale software infrastructure for oceanographic data life cycle, spanning capture, storage, processing, quality control, and publication. Qualifications

• Five+ years of software system design and implementation experience.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting and version control.
• Python or similar languages used in scientific computing environments.
• Experience with relational databases, data pipelines, and REST/messaging APIs.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary groups.
