Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is seeking a Senior Underwriter to join the Ocean Marine underwriting team in our New York City, Chicago, Boston or Houston office. You will source, underwrite and service Ocean Marine Cargo and STP opportunities, collaborating with Product Line Leader and brokers to grow the portfolio.

Ideal candidates have 3–10 years of Ocean Marine Cargo underwriting experience, strong broker relationships, and the ability to structure complex Marine risks.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of relevant work experience in Ocean Marine underwriting.
• Underwrite, structure, negotiate, and manage complex Marine risks.
• Established broker relationships and strong communication.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite and service Ocean Marine Cargo and STP risks with supervision guidance.
• Identify new opportunities and grow portfolio with brokers and product leaders.
• Collaborate with brokers and senior underwriters on risk assessment and terms.
• Represent BHSI at industry events and client meetings.
