Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to deliver direct patient care in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. A current state license in Occupational Therapy is required, with BLS/CPR either on file or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state license in Occupational Therapy.
• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• A minimum of two years of occupational therapy experience is required.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of occupational therapy.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
