Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking an occupational therapist to provide patient care under supervision and lead educational activities. You will mentor staff, participate in in-service trainings, and contribute to clinical practice initiatives within a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

The role requires a California OT license, BLS, and a minimum of two years of experience, with opportunities to influence care models and performance improvements across Kaiser facilities.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum two (2) years of experience as an occupational therapist required.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum with a Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral degree with certification in occupational therapy or foreign trained equivalent
• Occupational Therapist License (California) required at hire
• Basic Life Support
• National Provider Identifier required at hire
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements

Aufgaben

• Provides occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of the Director, Assistant Director, and/or Clinical Supervisor or designee.
• Provides department in-service as requested by management (e.g., journal club presentation, and/or regular in-service presentation).
• Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.
• Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.
• Provides consultation to staff.
• May act as a mentor for staff.
• May provide input into the clinical competency of staff.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities.
• May assist in the development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of care.
• Participates in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.
• May be involved in the clinical competency of COTAs and Rehab Aides.
• May monitor the work of contract therapists and the treatment of patients in Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities.
• Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.
