Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Senior Observability Systems Engineer to strengthen reliability and visibility across the enterprise. You will work hands-on with Dynatrace and ThousandEyes, build automation with Terraform, and collaborate with application, cloud, network, and security teams to improve monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
5-7 years of experience as a systems engineer or related role.

Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise observability platforms (Dynatrace; ThousandEyes).
Build dashboards, alerts, and tests for rapid issue detection and troubleshooting.
Develop configuration-as-code with Terraform; manage pipelines in Azure DevOps; move toward GitHub Enterprise.
Create and maintain Dynatrace extensions for broader coverage.
Instrument observability for DevOps in Azure CI/CD pipelines.
Onboard apps and infrastructure; ensure proper instrumentation and data validation.
Automate alerting/remediation to reduce MTTR and improve uptime.
Collaborate across app, cloud, network, and security teams to standardize observability.
