Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Directs and checks the work of other OB Technicians.
• Participates in orientation and training of new OB Technicians.
• Checks labor and delivery rooms for functional equipment and supplies.
• Tracks preventive maintenance on equipment and expiration dates of supplies.
• Sets up emergency equipment.
• Welcomes patients to the unit and escorts them to the appropriate room.
• Obtains Kaiser Card and photo ID from patient.
• Transports patients to delivery areas as needed.
• Assists RN during recovery, delivery, and Cesarean delivery.
• Washes instruments and prepares sterile packs for use.
