UC San Diego Health seeks an OB/GYN sonographer to perform early obstetrical ultrasounds and assess maternal–fetal conditions using transabdominal and transvaginal approaches. Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in OB/GYN.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
• Commitment to continued education in MFM ultrasound by obtaining at least 15 CMEs (20CMEs for Principal level) every 36 months in detailed OB ultrasound and/or fetal echocardiography.
• Recent OB ultrasound experience in a similar role and setting .
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sonographic assessment of maternal-fetal conditions including a thorough understanding of fetal anatomy, physiology, anomalies, and high risk maternal factors.

Responsabilités

• Perform early obstetrical ultrasound to confirm pregnancy location, cardiac activity, dating.
• Assess maternal uterus and adnexa utilizing transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound.
• Cross-train to perform detailed first and second trimester anatomical surveys, fetal growth, and cervical length assessments with Doppler, 3D/4D as indicated.
• Recognize normal and pathological conditions and apply additional modalities as indicated.
• Obtain relevant history via EMR, image according to protocol, and generate preliminary reports using structured reporting software.
• Familiarity in recognizing and troubleshooting various imaging IT issues.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
