Job summary

DTE Indianapolis LLC operates and maintains a cogeneration facility in Indianapolis, IN. The O&M Technician IV will operate and maintain two gas turbines, two heat recovery boilers, and related equipment, under Plant Manager supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and documentation in a highly automated environment. The position requires strong mechanical and control-system knowledge, CMMS usage, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 5+ years of related ops/maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical, instrumentation, controls, electrical knowledge.
• Experience with plant operations software and control systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cogeneration facility equipment (gas turbines, HRSGs, balance-of-plant).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and document activities.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance at all times.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and SOPs; support root cause analyses.
